Frequently asked questions
What if there's no ETS project file at all?
We run a full bus scan and rebuild the project from what devices currently report. This gives you a working, current project — but original commissioning notes, scene logic intent and design rationale can only be recovered if that documentation still exists somewhere else.
Will the audit report say our original installer did a bad job?
No. The deliverable is a findings report — miswired groups, unlabeled devices, orphaned addresses — not a pass/fail judgement of the previous installer. Undocumented systems are common; the goal is a current baseline, not blame.
Does the audit interrupt building operation?
Bus diagnostics and functional verification run alongside normal operation. Where a finding needs correction, that's scoped and agreed separately before any change is made.
Can you audit a system with mixed-brand devices?
Yes. KNX Association certification exists precisely so sensors and actuators from different manufacturers interoperate — a mixed-brand installation is standard practice, not a complication.
What do we actually receive at the end?
A current ETS project file, physical panel and device documentation, and a written findings report covering anything that needs attention.
