KNX smart
electrical panels
We design, assemble and certify custom KNX panels for villas, office buildings and hotels. Plug-and-play delivery anywhere in the EU — complete with ETS project file.
What is KNX?
The global open standard for building automation
KNX is the only worldwide open standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3) for residential and commercial building automation. It was established in 1990 and is today used in over 100 countries, with more than 500 manufacturers producing KNX-certified products.
Unlike proprietary systems (Loxone, Wago, Crestron), KNX is fully interoperable: a Gira pushbutton controls a Hager actuator programmed with MDT logic — without any gateway. This vendor independence protects your investment for decades.
KNX covers lighting, heating, HVAC, blinds, access control, energy metering and security — all addressable on a single twisted-pair bus cable.

Technical advantages of KNX
2-wire bus topology
KNX uses a single twisted pair cable for both power and data — up to 1000 devices per installation on a multi-segment bus.
Vendor-independent standard
Over 500 certified manufacturers worldwide: Gira, Jung, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Hager, MDT — all work together seamlessly.
DALI-2 integration
KNX and DALI-2 work hand in hand — KNX handles general automation while DALI provides individual addressable lighting control.
Scalable architecture
From a 2-room apartment to a 50,000 m² office tower — KNX scales without changing the core infrastructure.
CE & IEC 61439 compliant
Every PanelCraft KNX panel is assembled and tested to IEC 61439-1/2 and CE marked before delivery.
IP / cloud integration
KNX IP gateways connect to Apple HomeKit, Google Home, KNX Cloud, Alexa and all leading visualisation platforms.

FAQ
KNX panel questions
What is KNX and why use it for smart buildings?
KNX is the world's only open standard (ISO/IEC 14543) for building automation. It covers lighting, heating, ventilation, blinds, energy metering and security — all on one bus. Unlike proprietary systems, KNX works with 500+ certified manufacturers and guarantees long-term support.
How much does a KNX panel cost?
A typical residential KNX panel for a 200–400 m² villa ranges from €3,000–8,000 depending on device count, certifications and integration complexity. Commercial projects are quoted individually. We provide a fixed-price engineering quote after a free consultation.
Can you deliver assembled KNX panels to Germany / Poland / France?
Yes. We deliver CE-certified, pre-tested KNX panels to all EU countries. Shipping typically takes 3–7 business days. The panel is plug-and-play ready — the on-site electrician just connects incoming/outgoing cables.
What software do you use to program KNX?
We use ETS6 (Engineering Tool Software) — the official KNX programming tool. Every panel delivery includes the full ETS project file, group address list, and topology documentation.
Do I need a separate DALI controller or is it included in the KNX panel?
We integrate DALI-2 multi-master gateways directly inside the KNX panel — no separate controller is needed. The DALI gateway appears as standard KNX devices on the bus, giving you full lighting control from any KNX panel or app.
Can KNX integrate with Loxone, Home Assistant, or other systems?
Yes. KNX communicates over IP (KNX IP) which allows integration with Loxone (via KNX gateway), Home Assistant (via KNX integration), Crestron, Control4, and custom MQTT bridges. We design the integration architecture as part of every project.
