Satel
Poland's leading alarm system — Integra panels with KNX and smart home integration.
Satel (Gdańsk, Poland — founded 1990) is Central and Eastern Europe's largest security system manufacturer. Their Integra alarm panel series (Integra 32, 64, 128, 256) and the PERFECTA residential series are installed in millions of buildings across Poland, Baltic states, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. Satel's ETHM-1 Plus Ethernet module enables TCP/IP communication for smart home integration, including Home Assistant bridges to KNX.
Role in our panels
How we use Satel
Satel manufactures the complete alarm ecosystem: control panels (Integra, PERFECTA, CA-64), wired and wireless detectors, keypads (INT-TSG touchscreen, INT-KSG), indoor and outdoor sirens, communicators (GSM, GPRS, Ethernet), and the SATEL monitoring protocol for professional monitoring centres. Unlike Ajax (wireless-only), Satel Integra panels support both wired (balanced, normally open, normally closed) and wireless (ABAX 2 protocol, 868 MHz) detectors — making them suitable for new build (wired) and retrofit (ABAX wireless) projects.
In our panels, Satel integrates with KNX via two paths: (1) Hardware outputs — Integra zone outputs and PGM outputs (programmable relay outputs) are wired to KNX binary inputs and relay actuators. Zone triggered → relay closes → KNX telegram → scene activation. KNX departure scene → relay → PGM input → Integra arm command. (2) ETHM-1 Plus + Home Assistant — the SATEL HA integration communicates with the ETHM-1 Plus module over TCP/IP, providing bidirectional zone state, alarm state, and arm/disarm without hardware wiring between systems. HA then bridges to KNX group addresses.

Satel products
Key components we install
Integra 128-WRL
128-zone alarm panel with ABAX 2 wireless module. 32 outputs (PGM), 16 partitions. Supports wired + wireless ABAX 2 detectors simultaneously. Ethernet + PSTN/GSM communicator optional. Most popular Satel panel for residential and light commercial.
ETHM-1 Plus
DIN-rail Ethernet module for Integra panels. Provides TCP/IP access via SATEL protocol (used by HA integration, SATEL Guard app, and Dloadx programming software). Required for smart home integration. Supports up to 4 simultaneous connections.
INT-TSG Touchscreen Keypad
4.3" colour touchscreen keypad. ARM/DISARM, zone bypass, alarm history, proximity card reader (MIFARE 13.56 MHz). Wall-mount. Stylish enough for architect-designed residential projects.
PERFECTA 16
16-zone compact alarm panel for apartments. 4 partitions, 2 PGM outputs. Ethernet + GPRS communicator option. Simple programming, small enclosure (fits standard security box). Best for apartments and smaller homes.
ABAX 2 MPD Wireless PIR
ABAX 2 868 MHz wireless PIR for Integra-WRL panels. EN 50131 Grade 2. Bidirectional encrypted protocol. Battery life 3–5 years. Used when cable routing is impractical in existing buildings.
SP-500 Outdoor Siren
Outdoor combined acoustic siren + strobe. 100 dB SPL. Built-in tamper. Wired to Integra PGM output. IP54. Standard external siren in residential alarm installations.
Satel FAQ
How does Satel Integra integrate with KNX?
Via ETHM-1 Plus + Home Assistant: the HA Satel integration connects to ETHM-1 Plus via TCP/IP and reads all zone states, partition arm/disarm status, and troubles. HA automations bridge these to KNX group addresses. Example: partition 1 armed → HA → KNX group 0/0/50 value 1 → KNX logic → lights off, heating setback, blinds close.
Can KNX arm or disarm a Satel Integra panel?
Yes — via Home Assistant: a KNX group address telegram triggers an HA automation that calls the Satel integration's arm/disarm service. You can arm a specific partition, arm all partitions, or disarm with a user code. For hardware integration: wire a KNX relay actuator output to the Integra's zone input configured as a tamper-free arm/disarm zone.
Satel Integra vs Ajax: which to choose?
Satel Integra when: the project requires wired zones (higher reliability, no battery replacement), many zones (128–256), multiple partitions (offices, apartment blocks), or professional monitoring with SATEL Guard/GPRS redundancy. Ajax when: wireless-only installation needed, modern app experience preferred, EN 50131 Grade 2 wireless suffices, or the client wants a cloud-managed system.
Does Satel support ABAX 2 wireless detectors alongside wired zones?
Yes — Integra-WRL (wireless) variants include a built-in ABAX 2 module. Wired zones and wireless ABAX 2 devices appear as the same zone types in Integra — no distinction in programming or event handling. This hybrid capability is a major advantage over pure wireless systems for mixed new-build + retrofit projects.
