TROX (Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany) manufactures air handling units and VAV (Variable Air Volume) terminal units — TVZ and TVLQ VAV controllers are specified in commercial office buildings, hospitals, and cleanrooms across Europe. BACnet MS/TP and BACnet/IP communication integrates with KNX building systems via LOYTEC LGATE bridge.

How we use TROX
TROX TVZ VAV volume flow controller: BACnet MS/TP (address 1-127, 9600 baud default) or BACnet/IP. BACnet objects per TVZ: AV:1 (flow setpoint, l/s), AI:1 (actual flow, l/s), AO:1 (damper position, 0-100%), AV:2 (room temp setpoint if room controller option fitted), AI:2 (room temperature, 0.1°C). KNX integration: LOYTEC LGATE-950 connects to TROX BACnet MS/TP network and KNX TP simultaneously — maps TVZ BACnet objects to KNX group objects. TROX AirMaster: room controller with CO2 sensor (0-2000 ppm) and room temperature sensor; AirMaster communicates via BACnet/IP and maps to KNX via LGATE. Demand-controlled ventilation: CO2 ppm BACnet object mapped to KNX DPT 9.008 (ppm) — KNX logic increases VAV setpoint when CO2 > 1000 ppm. TROX X-CUBE AHU: modular air handling units with BACnet/IP controller — supply/extract air temperatures, heating/cooling coil valve positions, fan speeds, filter pressure drop all available as BACnet objects. KNX scene: meeting room occupied scene triggers VAV flow increase from 80 l/s to 140 l/s via KNX group telegram → LGATE → BACnet write to AV:1.
TROX TVZ VAV controllers connect to KNX via LOYTEC LGATE-950 BACnet/KNX bridge — room temperature, flow setpoint, and damper position mapped bidirectionally for zone-level HVAC control.

BACnet MS/TP or BACnet/IP for TVZ?
MS/TP on RS485 bus is standard (up to 63 TVZ units per RS485 segment); BACnet/IP is available on the TVZ-IP variant for direct Ethernet network connection.
Which LOYTEC gateway for TROX/KNX integration?
LGATE-950 (standalone BACnet/KNX router) or LROC-100 if integration with multiple BMS systems is needed alongside KNX.
Is a CO2 sensor available in the TVZ unit?
The optional AirMaster attachment adds CO2 (BACnet AI:3, 0-2000 ppm) and room temperature (AI:2) to the TVZ BACnet object list for demand-controlled ventilation.
