Presence detectors use mmWave radar instead of passive infrared to keep sensing a person who has stopped moving.

Radar presence sensors add adjustable detection zones and sensitivity, plus a light reading so lighting switches on only when occupied and dark; they report over Wi-Fi or Zigbee.
