Cable Management

Cable Management covers the trunking, trays, conduit, and fixings that route, contain, and protect cable runs between panels and outlets.

PVC trunking such as the Hager range is sized by width x height in millimetres (e.g. 40x57 mm, 70x170 mm) and fitted with matching T-pieces, angles, and lids in a consistent RAL colour like Traffic White (RAL 9016) or Stone Grey (RAL 7035). Conduit is specified by outer diameter (M20-M32), cable trays by width and load class, and glands by thread size and IP68 sealing.

• Trunking size — match width x height to the total cross-section of cables it will carry, plus spare capacity for future additions.
• Fitting selection — T-pieces, flat angles, and end caps must match the trunking's exact width and colour code.
• Environment — indoor trunking needs no IP rating; outdoor or wet-area runs need IP65 conduit and glands.
