In critical installations, two independent PDUs on separate power paths mean a single source or PDU failure doesn't take equipment down — but only for devices built with dual power supplies to use both.

Simple PDU: honest, sufficient, common

A basic multi-outlet strip is the right, sufficient choice for a small home or office network cabinet with no dual-PSU gear — we won't sell redundancy that hardware can't use.

Managed PDU: monitoring or remote control

A managed PDU adds visibility into load per outlet, or the ability to power-cycle a device remotely — useful when uptime or remote troubleshooting actually matters.

Which one you need depends on whether that visibility or control is actually useful to the project.

Does a second PDU always add redundancy?
