Connectors & terminals (RJ45/lugs)

Connectors & terminals (RJ45/lugs) join cable ends to equipment or to each other, covering both data connectors and power cable lugs.

Selection depends on the cable type being terminated: RJ45 plugs and keystone jacks for Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a structured cabling, and crimp or bolted lugs sized to conductor cross-section in mm² for power and earthing cables. DIN rail terminal blocks add screw or spring-clamp connection for control wiring.

  • Connector type — RJ45 for Ethernet, ring or fork lugs for power cable termination
  • Conductor size — match lug bore to cable cross-section in mm² for a secure crimp
  • Termination method — crimp, screw or spring-clamp depending on wire gauge and access
