XVR

XVR recorders are the multi-format DVR subclass that auto-detect HDCVI, TVI, AHD and CVBS per channel, plus a limited IP allowance.

Because each BNC input auto-negotiates signal type, an XVR lets an installer mix cameras from different analog-HD standards without matching brands per channel.

  • Auto-detection — each channel senses HDCVI/TVI/AHD/CVBS automatically
  • Resolution — maximum per-channel resolution often drops at full load; check the datasheet
  • IP allowance — most models add a few extra IP channels beyond the analog count
