Walk the plan with the electrician and identify likely switch, sensor and device positions for future KNX/DALI or other control wiring — before the specific system is decided.

Pull empty conduits and extra control cable from those points back to a central panel location with room for future capacity, alongside the standard power circuits.

Rough-in is the one point in the build where adding a spare conduit costs a few minutes of pulling cable. Once the wall is finished, the same run means chasing plaster or drywall to open it back up.
